Salman Khan’s blockbuster of 2010, Dabangg, has been voted the best film of the year in a poll conducted by an Indian website. Not for nothing did the Abhinav Kashyap-directed film sweep the awards in December. Dabangg tops the popular choice as the best film of last year, a fact cemented by our latest poll where we’d asked our readers to vote for the best film of the year.
The choices included the films that fared well at box office: My Name Is Khan, Dabangg, Raajneeti, Golmaal 3 and Tees Maar Khan. Dabangg got an overwhelming number of votes, and as many as 51 percent were in its favour.
Shahrukh Khan’s My Name Is Khan lead the race to grab the top spot but was pipped at the end by Dabangg. MNIK got 47 percent votes.
The Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif-starrer Raajneeti got a meagre 1 percent votes.
The comedies were voted out in the poll, with Golmaal 3 failing to get any significant votes.
Same was the case with Akshay Kumar’s Tees Maar Khan. The voters gave a unanimous thumbs-down to the film.
