Priyanka to play Ranbir Kapoor’s gal

People heaped praise on Priyanka Chopra for her sterling performance in 7 Khoon Maaf as a victimized woman who kills her husbands. Now, the talented actress will prepare for a very challenging role of a mentally-challenged heroine to the deaf-and-dumb Ranbir Kapoor. And see who’s helping her out in preparing for the role? It’s Shah Rukh Khan, her favourite co-star of Don and Don 2. Priyanka plays a mentally challenged girl in Anurag Basu's thriller Barfee and she has to undergo training to prepare for the role. As Shahrukh effortlessly played a man with Asperger's Syndrome in My Name Is Khan, who else better than him to help her out!

Naturally, Priyanka is excited and tells a tabloid, “If the character comes out right I'll have a lot to thank him for. I consider SRK one of the finest actors in world. To be able to spend so much time with him both on and off camera is a blessing.”

Priyanka will train for almost a month for the role and has already begun visiting schools and institutions for the mentally challenged.

Priyanka's sister to enter Bollywood

Priyanka Chopra's first cousin, Parineeti Chopra couldn't have asked for more. She has been signed in Yash Raj Films' next LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL, to be directed by BAND BAAJA BAARAAT fame Maneesh Sharma. Parineeti has been a part of the marketing team of Yash Raj Films.

Priyanka is ecstatic with the news. "Yes, Parineeti Chopra is my sister. This is the first time Yash Raj Films has launched someone in such a way. I am very happy YRF has signed her. She is a part of YRF's marketing department. In fact, she had worked on my own film PYAAR IMPOSSIBLE. I think it was one of her first films." Being one of the leading actress, does Priyanka have any tips for the newcomer? "I think I will call her and do that," says Priyanka with a wry smile.

Parineeti will be one of the "ladies" who falls prey to the smooth talking guile of Ricky Bahl. LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL stars Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma in lead roles. The shooting starts early-April and plans to be in theatres on 9th Dec 2011, the same weekend BAND BAAJA BAARAAT released.

Priyanka back in ‘Krissh 3’

The entire buzz about Krissh 3 was right, the movie will roll early next year and Priyanka Chopra will be seen opposite Hrithik Roshan once again. Though there were rumours that the actress is not being considered for the sequel, reports are on that Priyanka is finalized for the film. She will continue her character of a reporter as the movie will take forward the story where Krissh left. Roshans were toying with the idea of Krissh sequel for the last four years but nothing concrete happened. Now, as they have moved on from the debacle of Kites, making Krissh 3 is prime on their plans.

Coming to Priyanka, the actress has some big films lined up for next year: she has Saat Khoon Maaf with seven male co-stars, Don 2 with Shahrukh Khan, and also Anurag Basu’s romantic thriller Barfee (earlier titled Silence) with Ranbir Kapoor.

Shahid, Priyanka to get engaged soon

A new year and a new beginning for Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra as the couple is rumoured to be thinking of exchanging rings. Well, it’s true that Priyanka did not go to Chandigarh on Dec 31 to ring in 2011 with Shahid, who’s been shooting dad’s film Mausum there. Rather, we hear that it was Shahid who took a break from the film’s shoot for a day and flew to Goa, where Piggy was with her parents.

Shasha and Piggy Chops reportedly partied the whole of New Year’s eve away. In between Shasha also took out time to meet PC’s parents over dinner, and if the rumour is to be believed, the talk of a formal engagement is already underway. If everything goes well, Priyanka and Shahid might be getting engaged soon.

The two have not yet admitted to the media that they are dating. Perhaps they’ve decided to be more open in the new year!

Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor have never acknowledged their relationship openly.
However, there is more to their relationship than meets the eye. While appeating on the show Koffee with Karan, host Karan Johar asked them if they were real life couple. Both were quick to deny.
Interestingly, after the shoot Priyanka and Shahid left separately. Shahid stopped his bike some distance away. Priyanka too stopped her car and got onto the bike and both sped away. Well, only Priyanka and Shahid can tell if something is brewing between them again.

Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra is a very agile person, who believes in moving ahead in life no matter what happens and she has done the same thing after breaking up with beau Shahid Kapoor. It did not take much time for the lady to get a new man of her choice! There is a buzz that the new man in Priyanka's life is none other than her Don 2 co-star Sahil Shroff. This name may leave you surprised because hardly anyone has heard this name before. Sahil is a Mumbai based model and he is debuting in Bollywood with Farhan Akhtar's Don 2. He has a supporting role in the movie, in which Priyanka plays the main female protagonist.

Earlier, Sahil has modeled for various leading commercials and participated in a reality show called 'The Amazing Race Asia'.

As per the sources on the sets, Priyanka and Sahil are like a house on fire on the set and their on-screen chemistry indicates the comfort level they share off-screen. Sahil is still a struggling actor so Priyanka is reportedly giving her tips on how to improve his acting skills.

Saat Khoon Maaf is an upcoming Hindi drama, thriller and black comedy film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. The film, based on the Ruskin Bond book, Susanna's Seven Husbands,features seven male leads with Naseeruddin Shah, John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh as the youngest husband, as well as Irrfan Khan, Annu Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah's youngest son Vivaan Shah and Russian actor Aleksandr Dyachenko, in the roles of the seven husbands.Priyanka Chopra will be seen playing a negative character once again after Aitraaz (2004) and Yakeen (2005).Saat Khoon Maaf was first scheduled for release on 21 January 2011,but has now been postponed to 18 February 2011

Priyanka Chopra may be having sleepless nights in Berlin where she is presently shooting for Don 2. According to reports doing the rounds, the actress is being haunted by a ghost from her past. Well, not literally, but a certain Prakash Jaju has returned back to Priyanka Chopra's life. For the uninitiated, Prakash Jaju was the actress' secretary once upon a time. He was sacked by Priyanka Chopra when she caught him sending her lecherous text messages and was handed over to the police officials in Mumbai. But now that his arrest period is over, Prakash Jaju has resurfaced in Priyanka Chopra's life.

The ex-secretary is reportedly promoting the career of Meera Chopra, Priyanka Chopra's distant cousin. And though the Bollywood actress is very disturbed over the fact, she cannot really do anything about it, because though the court orders Prakash Jaju to stay away from her family, nothing has been mentioned about her extended family in the legal notice.

What comes across as more troubling news to Priyanka Chopra is the fact that Meera has gone on record saying that she does not find anything wrong in Prakash Jaju's character and she is prepared to work with him because the man may bring her some good offers from Bollywood.

Meera Chopra is all set to debut in Bollywood next year and it is to be seen whether Prakash Jaju can create the same magic with her as he did with Priyanka Chopra.
